CARLING CUP AT THE SWAMP

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A bit harder to call as we can't be certain what kinda team they'll put out this time. Still not confident though, 3-1 spuds :(

I have travelled to Porto and Olympiacos to see our reserves play but i still cant bring myself to go to that place with the young lads. Just doesnt seem right to me. Play the first team Arsene please...

Not in the mood for this, if we go and take a pounding of these *word censored*, I think il try taking a step back from football for a while.

These last minute goals and embarrassing defeats are destroying me, it takes a toll....

Indeed. To Monsieur Wenger this is nothing more than an irritating inconvenience which he is obliged to attend to.

Things more important to Wenger than winning this game;
- No injuries to first teamers.
- Sticking to "the policy".
- Giving kids "experience" (of losing...).
- Being home in time for Newsnight.

If Wenger gave a fuck about the fans he'll play the strongest team possible but he doesn't so I expect us to get our arses handed to us in this one.

I expect Keane, Lennon, Pav to play.
That said I think our Carling cup team isn't too bad.

Denilson(needs games), Eboue, Johan, Nordveit, Jack(maybe), Tomas(needs games), Nasri(maybe) Vela, Nasri, JET, Lansbury, Randell :?

Personally:

Chesney
Nordveidt Miquel Djorou Gibbs
Aneke Eastmond
Afobe Lansbury Vela
JET

Its risky but if Wenger is serious about giving youth a chance then this is their opportunity; more so then battering dog & duck united at home. Just hope it goes better then man city away last year.

btw, i have a feeling some of that team may be injured, does anyone know for sure?
