I forgot him. You're bang on with that one. Grade A arsehole.northbankbren wrote: Sacha Baron Cohen - up his own arse.
He used to live next door to the pub I worked in (this is quite a few years ago, well before the Borat movie). He had the fittest housemate (I didn't know she knew him at the time). We used to get on really well, then one day he walked past and I told her how much of a *word censored* he was. Then she told me she lives with him and is really good friends with him.
She never spoke to me again

Like Bren, I also met George Graham and did not get a good vibe from him.
Unlike Bren, when I met Sacha Baron-Cohen I found him to be a nice guy.
Rather than make a final judgment on someone though, I guess it has a lot to do with how you meet someone, especially if they are famous they could have had a lot of people coming up to them in the street and be wary of strangers or simply pushed for time.
Mate of mine once met Paddy Ashdown when he was leader of the Liberal Democrats. My friend asked him a question and Paddy said, "I am happy to talk to you for a minute, but can you hang on a bit? I have been on the go all day and really need to go to the toilet?"
Paddy came back after doing his business and had a chat.

This is true indeed quartzy. I actually now dont have intentions of meeting my idols in case of the let down, not ali g but George Graham done that to me.QuartzGooner wrote: Rather than make a final judgment on someone though, I guess it has a lot to do with how you meet someone, especially if they are famous they could have had a lot of people coming up to them in the street and be wary of strangers or simply pushed for time.
To be fair met ali g and rhona mitra at same place, the ali g movie premier after-party

When i met ali g/mitra i was with a mate who was massive fan of the guy, he wanted his photo taken with him (and her when he saw her

For me I try to avoid my idols since meeting George Graham, there are certain sports stars id love to meet, but wouldnt incase of them being a knob and letting me down.

They're all cunts.
Well, most of them.
Met Jon Bon Jovi (a proper dwarf - made me look tall, FFS!
) and he was just loud and boring. Met Boner from U2 and he was so arrogant I considered slapping the crunt...
Also met the drummer from U2 in a Dublin boozer years ago and my mate took the piss out of him so much he got up and stormed out.
Met Phil Lynott (a real hero to me at the time) in a sordid night club in Dublin and he was coked up and full of his own shit. BIG disappointment...
Kind of met ginger spice in an airport and she was ugly and a proper "Do you know who I am" type arsehole.
Met Jack Charlton and he was quality. As was Bob Wilson on the couple of occasions I've met him. And Kenny Sansom was great too (I was pissed and bear hugged him at some Block 31 thing! at the conglomerates stadium
).
Appeared (as an extra) in a movie with Stephen Rea and Cillian Murphy and both were very down to earth and sound. Also appeared in a movie with James McAvoy and Romola Garai and while she was quite nice, he was just an arrogant twat.
Met Paul McGrath and George Best (seperate occasions) whilst they were doing pub promotion work (only in Oireland, huh?) and they were both so humble and polite and friendly.
Met Chippy, Stapo, O'Leary and Tony Grealish at a footy club trophy night and Chippy was a grumpy obnoxious fucker. O'Leary was brilliant, signed autographs, chatted to everybody (he's still a crunt nowdays though)
