Chill out - we can't change things. What will be, will be.
Our Club is going down the pan. That is clear to most of us. Wenger is ruining his reputation by following some master-plan that he thinks will cement his legacy as the greatest manager of the modern era. He's an ego-maniac who is clearly deluded. Again we all know this. We also know that we can't change things. Wenger is not stupid. The Board can't sack him. They are reliant on him for their financial position.
So (and I know it's difficult), let's just rolll with it. TBH in the past week I've stopped caring. Arsenal is still my club, and I support them in every game they play. I follow them home and away for the most part. But there are more important things in life than worrying about something I can't control. Wenger's not worth it. He wants to do it his way. It's the wrong way, but there's nothing we can do to change it.
Let's just accept what we have and enjoy Arsenal in whatever way we can. One day Wenger will be gone. It might be worse without him, it might be better, but it will still be Arsenal. And we will still be following the boys.

Fixed that for you.frankbutcher wrote:The Board won't sack him. They are reliant on him for their financial position.
See what their lack of passion for Arsenal has done. It's not just killing the passion of those inside the team but those who live to support the team.
This si the real leagcy of what the Board has done in our time.

You've made your point. Everybody understands how you feel. So why do you feel the need to repeat yourself over and over again? Even Wenger would say that there's "deja vu" in your posts.USMartin wrote:Fixed that for you.frankbutcher wrote:The Board won't sack him. They are reliant on him for their financial position.

Thanks for the 'fixing' Martin, but my point is clear - the Board are reliant on Wenger, not the other way round. That is why Wenger can do what he wants and answers to no-one. I thought you would have understood the subtlety of the argument.Bring Back Pires wrote:You've made your point. Everybody understands how you feel. I think you more than anyone on here should chill out. I happen to make you right on most points about Wenger and the Board, but you seem to like re-stating the point over and over.
Just chill out!

I have no opinions on the board. I'm not willing to start a debate with you about it. I just honestly don't know why you are trying to convert everyone with your feelings. You've made over 2,000 posts now, and have expressed your points in great detail. Either people agree with you or they don't. Why waste our time, and your time, trying to preach?USMartin wrote:Why are you unwilling to actually say anything to our Board then? Are we really just happy to just accept things. Are we that hopeless?
You may be in a minority on your feelings, but maybe not. But even if every single Arsenal fan in existance did agree with you, it probably wouldn't change anything.

Im now at a point, where I no longer care about how well/shit Arsenal play at the weekend. The usual footy banter just goes in one ear and out the other because our lack of ambition has lessened my interest in football. Last year, half time at home to Chelsea, I packed my bags and went to stay at a friends house for a couple of days (Spud fan, don't know what I was thinking) because I knew i'd start an argument because we'd have lost. Now, I just don't care.
I don't know who is to blame (Wenger/the Board) or what the solution is but something needs to change. We can argue and moan on here all day long but it won't change anything for our football club. Contrary to many people's beliefs, I dont think we are one or two players away from winning a trophy. We're a board and a new manager away from one.

I understood your point - I just believe that it's wrong. The Board aren't complete incompetents. In fact they very compeotent about running their buisiness. That may be part of the problem. They are almost too competent for the club's good. I just don't believe that the sole difference between how we ran this club fron 1998-2005 came down to David Dein imposing his will over the Board..frankbutcher wrote:Thanks for the 'fixing' Martin, but my point is clear - the Board are reliant on Wenger, not the other way round. I feel very badly Frank at how we all - myself included - have chosen to turn on each other over the past several years over this. But reading how this has just destroyed your passion for Arsenal to the extent it has just angers me that much more. You and supporters like you deserve better from Arsenal than this.
