Finally!!! An Englishman comes out and tells the truth..

Post by I Hate Hleb »

about who is responsible for most of the over-zealous challenges in the Premier League!!

Fulham's Danny Murphy has been on the radio blaming the likes of Alladyce, Pulis and McCarthy for the attitude their players go onto the pitch with, claiming that they get the footballers so worked up and aggressive, that overly hard tackles - and therefore injuries - are almost inevitable!!

Well done that man!!! 8)

Alas, the usual neanderthal ex-footballers still living in the past and making a killing spouting bollocks on the radio have deemed him to be out of order, coming with the usual 'I've seen worse' and 'in my day' comments.

 :banghead:

Fair play to danny murphy.....always a footballer in the purest sense of the word and would rightly be disgusted at some of the kicking that is going on.

Wonder how long it will take that old *word censored* that is chairman of stoke to demand an fa/fbi/cia investigation into his comments and demanding an apology

I've quite like Murphy off the field.
I recall some comments he was making about an England game he was spot on. He went against ITV's grain of 'bigging' up the result and performance said something along the lines of "This isn't great, with the player that England have we should be expected to beat teams like this was a result to match"....
Also slagging off Capello for not playing (his mate) Gerrard in the centre. That game he did.

Everything was spot on.

amazing how arsene has been banging on about this issue for months and the press and pundits have all been mocking him, calling us babies, and tell him to man up. Yet when an englishman finally stands up and calls Stoke, Wolves and Blackburn thugs the press do a 180 and say he is right and its killing the game. its such fucking double standards, and wenger gets no mention in any of the press this morning its all hail danny fucking murphy! Part of me wants one of englands "golden Generation" to suffer a karl henry challlenge then everyone will sit up and take notice.

Rant over!

Well done Danny Murphy.

If it is one of Englands golden generation  to receive a bad tackle can it be (a) Stevie G or (b) Wanker Rooney or (c) Both. :barscarf:

If Rooney or Gerrard was to ever get done Eduardo/Ramsey style the player that committed the foul would be hounded out of the English game by the press, Sky and the likes of Talkshite

I nearly chocked on my cereal this morning when I saw that a former Ingerland player was speakign out against this issue. I thoguht he was spot on about the 'brainless' bit and made his poitns very well. he didn;t come across as a 'softy' but as a player that is genuinely worried for members of his profession. I was glad it was an Englishman coming out and saying this and especially one who does get stuck in because the media won't be able to play the 'foreigners on the moan' thing again. I was actually quite shocked that he named the names he did as it's strange to find players willing to criticise current managers. It does indicate that the issues and managers we speak about on here and to our mates at the games are issues to the players themselves.

Exactly! Just like a few years ago when Beckham broke his metatarsal before the 2002 WC in a challenge with Deportivo's Aldo Duscher. Here's what Duscher had to say:

"Maybe the worst thing is that seven or eight English journalists appeared at my house. I was chased by them and they gave me the impression I had done something terrible. It's very hard when all of the press of one country is attacking you"

Duscher was a filthy Argie and Beckham at that time England's golden boy. Two faced *word censored* in the press, fuck them all. :banghead:

where does radford begin with murphy, a man who whinged has way around clubs. a man who wanted to playe for an english manager (small island mentality).

frankly its a poor show from him yes there have been some truly awful tackles but this is pure sensationalism from him.

Arsenal fans did not complain when we were dishing it out. radford knows that we did not break limbs but he can remember many a poor and shocking tackle from the likes of bould, dixon etc
