PES 2011 VS FIFA 2011 - Advise.

Post by northbankbren »

Am getting myself a ps3 and want advise on which footy game to buy.

Will get a demo if poss of both but would like to know pro's and cons.

Havent played games in a few years, but back then was PES all the way, the reasons it was at the time far more realistic in the game play department. FIFA although had better commentary, probably was a liitle better with graphics, the fan chants were ok too, but the game play was very arcade like. You could just tap the pass button and the ball would zip into your players feet. I remember if you just tapped the pass button really fast you could go from one end of the pitch to another in like 3 seconds.

Now have heard and read FIFA has really improved on the gameplan front, but is it really as "realistic" as the new PES?

Does anyone have both?

Also can anyone recommend any other games?????

my bro has red dead and gta 4. Deffo gunna buy the fight night 4 game.

Not really into the whole cod, medal of honor style shoot em ups, they make me feel queezy

Really like the Hitman games on ps2, is there a new one for ps3?

Recommendations please :)

We are always arguing on here about Pro vs Fifa. Those in favour of pro have nothing to back up their argument what so ever.

Don't get me wrong I used to buy pro every year up until last years Fifa 10. I played the demo of fifa and wasn't sure but my friend said just keep trying for a little while and it grew on me and havent looked back since. You can even change the controls over to pro controllers if you want.

Fifa is improved every year. Game play, graphics, game features, online play, game modes. I'd never thought I'd say this but Fifa was quite hard to start with but it makes it much more exciting.

Pro seems to go backwards, theres just not enough improvements year on year. They tend to make one big improvement and thats it.

I'd say get the demo of both but you'll soon see the light

fifa

pes got the edge when fifa were churning out games for the sake of it until pes started selling so well that ea got on it and have since had the edge since 09.

So is the game play in fifa realistic?

Mainly the passing? Does it still do the whole push pass and it zip in a straight line straight to their feet? Thats what I really hated.

Can you dive?

Oh and is their a career mode/manager mode (where you can you know, buy/sell players, change club?) All the english divisions?

Champions League? Player of the year?

Know the career mode on pes was always pretty poor.

All the question eh  Can be arsed to look it up

Thanks for all opinions, although captain fabregas you didnt have to post an essay

Beleive me, since PES came to PS3 it's been shit. I was always into PES not FIFA, but FIFA09 really surpassed PES and it's miles ahead now.

FIFA. Even though I personally liked FIFA 10 better than 11. The passing in 11 is a little erratic, its harder which is fine, but the power of the passes seems to be too flukey some times.
