When will we next win the League?

Personally I think we'll win it once Wenger has left and we have been in the doldruns for a few years. I'm going for 2020.

Hard to say without knowing whether the transfer policies, coaching methods & tactical nous of AW will dramatically change in the next few years, if at all.

If things carry on as they are, I don't see it being for a while & I agree it probably won't be under Wenger. We might scrape either the Carling or FA Cups but no league. If he wakes the fuck up, stops being such a stubborn crunt & attempts to fix our problems with real quality then there's no reason it couldn't be in a year or two. I won't hold my breath though...

When the board and manager decide success on the pitch can also lead to success on the balance sheet until then I say we might get lucky in a cup but the league isn't going to happen for a long while.

It will never happen again under Wenger.
We are on a downward spiral and we're more likely to drop out of the top 4 than win the league under Wenger.

TeeCee what evidence do you have - solid evidence not unsubatntianted sound bites -that anyof our spending policies will change immediately with the advent of a new manager.

Sreriously if you are correct you must have some evidence and I challenge you to produce or to explain why you would rather blame the manager despoite clear and undeniable evidence that the Board' sown policies have had far more to do with our decline off the bench.

Why should you want to punish someone I believe you know ais not solely responsible and willing to let those if you are honest you know are resposibole get away scot free? How honorable is that?

Agreed. I think the problem is they see a way to make more money without investing more money and will only be too happy to dilute the quality of the product so long as they can get away with it and continue making such profits.

Basically their strategy is the same as BP's which was instead of investing to make sure the well does not blow up to simply count on that not happening or hope it wouldn't happen on their watch.

At Arsenal the strategy seems to be instead of investing to take us back to the top two to simply count on ssecuring third maybe or fourth and count on dropping from the four not happening or to hppe it doesn't happen on their watch.

We've got a perceptive one here!

I'm interested to know what people's expectations are. Seems to me that most of us have given up hope of winning it under Wenger.

I think we're close. I'm still convinced, a quality goalkeeper and a really strong, solid centre midfielder and we'll win it.

Say for example (dreaming here) wenger went and signed Reina in January and Melo in the summer, I think next year we'd be serious challengers, if not favourites.

It's pretty simple really - if Wenger carries on trying to bring through cheap signings and makeshift squads, we wont win under wenger ever again.

If wenger spends some of the money he has on the two positions above, I'd be confident of winning it.
