Another PS3 thread
Another PS3 thread
Quick question
Let's say I downloaded a tv series by torrent and put the files onto a usb stick thing. Would I put that into the PS3 and watch the videos on my tv?
It sounds too straight forward to actually work but thought I'd ask.
Cheers

Yup is actually that straight forward. Put the usb stick in PS3, when you see your USB stick appear, press triangle and go to display all and it's all there.paperclip wrote:Quick question

WMA being microsoft interlectual property file types will not work without the licience. you will be prompted to download this when and if you attempt to play that file type.paperclip wrote:Thanks guys. Are there certain file types that will or wont work?
I also think gp4 wont play, if your not sure what that is, basically video files from old phones like the early nokia ones with video recording, the rest should be ok.
also provided any of the individual files arent over 4gb
but being a tv series i dont think that will be a problem.
Best way if you have soem spare cash is to but an external HD drive and tversity
I have a 2tb external usb drive attached to my pc and i run ethernet round the room to the ps3 from the router. Download Tversity to the pc and it links it all nicely on the PS3...
Dont try and stream anything hd over wireless as it simply wont work, It will be like Arsenals hunt for a trophy... stutter, stutter, stutter, stutter
