Poor Alex

Post by Galasso »

Another game...another defeat for Belarus - this time against mighty Luxembourg.

It looks like Mr Hleb is going to another of those great players like Best who misses out on playing in a major championship because he is bigger than the country he plays for.

Do you think England could use a player like Hleb?

I have no doubt he'd walk straight into the team and is exactly the sort of player England need..the closest is Joe Cole really..not enough craft in the final 3rd..
To be honest, we should try find some sort of Loophole where he can be eligable. Christ, he's gotta be more English than Lennox Lewis or the German Canadian Owen Hargreaves..

Well somebody had to lose to them sooner or later, first win Luxembourg had since 1995 apparently. Poor Hleb

Kind of funny how old Alex has gone from zero to hero in such a short time

Just goes to show there is no substitute for playing regularly, wonder how Swiss Phil would do week in week out :?

Nooooooooooooooooooooo

I never got that in the first place...
Alex suffered towards the end of last year, just like the whole squad..There's very few who can take any credit from last year's effort, and Hleb getting scapegoated made me laugh to be honest. Up till Jan he was arguably our best player..He's back to his old self now, and is a very important part of us playing "The Arsenal Way"- RvP 2007

Bloody leave Hleb alone... i think hes a reali good player.. works real hard, difficult to get the ball off, runs rings around most the defenders in the prem... true he cant score for toffee but it aint just about goals is it.
