It is probably bullshit but I heard Vermaelen's injury was so badly mis-diagnosed he has needed an operation but to save face the club has kept it quiet

correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't he have only got a 1 match ban if we didn't appeal?

I don't think so, I think he gets an extra game as it's his second red of the season. Not 100% on that though. As far as I'm aware though, it isn't an extra game for a 'frivolous' appeal.

This is what really annoys me about the FA. Why couldn't the ref just admit that he made a wrong decision and correct it by making it a booking rather than straight red? Even if it were bloody Messi, Henry or Eto that had the ball in that position it would still hardly have been the denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity!!!!!!!!

He wont be that missed, he is good most of the match but to be honest he has made some real bad mistakes that have cost us goals throughout the season.
One un proven average CB banned, another worse CB can take his place alongside another average CB who plays with a poor form LB and a poor form RB who all play in front of a poor under average GK.

These 5 players all play in the first 11 of one of the biggest clubs in the world

when we get verminator back we'll be back to our best as our defence has been very shaky with kos and squid at the back :x

Pretty good summary, though I think you are being generous with your opinion of Sagna, he has been out of form now for over 2 fulll seasons.

Yeah you’re pretty much wrong there bud.

Remind me again how many PL goals we conceded last season with the supposed defensive rock that is Vermaelen?
