As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
duly voted, but i watched a few other choices and the swedish one is stupidly awesome, you know tshabalala is only in it because he's from the african confederation (CAF?) and the japanese guy is from asia, good goals mind, but not really up there with the quality of the others.
van Bronckhorst, definitely. Nasri/Altintop tied for second place. I thought Tshabalala goal was legit, and the goal by the Japanese girl was pretty talented for women's football standards (although still a stretch inclusion).
But yeah, that is an insane kick by Gio', in a meaningful game no less. Having the audacity to try that kind of effort from that distance, as a left back... that's what the Dutch are all about. Goal of the season.
All great goals but there must be some more team goals that are great. It's like MotD or Sky's goal of the month/season they always seem to go for the spectacular goals shot from 30 or 40 yards surely somethimes the build up to a goal is just as good as the goal itself sometimes
voted for nasri as he's scroed a few goals of that quality and he plays for Arsenal, even though it wasn't the best goal there.
This public vote only counts for some of the total score for the goal, i understand. They take other factors into account, such as goal importance, home away, time during the match, opponents and all that. Something similar to the GCSE maths for team rankings.
