Tickets for Aston Villa in the home end

Post by Bring Back Pires »

Just thought some of you might like to know that tickets in the Villa end for next weekend are now available on general sale at Villa's website.

Good chance to see the game live, and witness the return to English football of Robert Pires. £25 is a pretty good price too. Just a shame you'll be surrounded by Villa fans (or not, based on the current ticket sales; or lack thereof).

Got mine last night!

EDIT @ 2.45pm: Can this thread be changed to 'One Villa vs. Arsenal ticket for sale'?

F**k it mate, still go, I'm massively fucked off after what happened today, I'm still gonna go up, given our away form we may actually win but that's just me being optimistic

Wouldn't blame you if you sold it

I sat in the Holte End when Pires lobbed Schmiechal in 01/02 very nearly blew my cover, what a goal !

£25 for the home end, £43 for the away end, something seems fundamentally wrong with that.

not sure id sit in with opposing fans not sure if could control myself.

been thinking about this since saturday when i saw a spurs fan who blew his cover when it went 2-2 (didnt go mad but still got find out) person directly next to him did nothing but a few other arsenal fans went ballistic trying to get at him stewards arrived but seemed reluctant to eject him?

im not sure how i would react in this situation. what about anyone else?

let it go or smash 'em?

I wouldn't physically assault somebody because they supported another football club, but I'd definitely try getting them ejected (and maybe some heavy verbal abuse too).

I can't get this one to be honest mate, are you an Arsenal fan or a Pires fan ? You're going to sit in the Villa End to witness the return to English football of Robert Pires ?

Each to their own mate, but for me Arsenal > Any Player..

I want to see Robert Pires play again. I couldn't get a ticket in the Arsenal end, as it sold out before going to Red Members. Thus, I'm sitting in the home end. No big deal.

I understand that, go see Villa play anyone, but to see them play us and sit with the Home fans seems a bit odd to me. Enjoy mate

I'm not going to see Villa specifically. I'd have gone to see Pires play for whoever his new team was (had even looked up the Crawley Town fixture list!), so this kills two birds with one stone - get to see Pires, and get to see an Arsenal game. I've sat in home sections before when we've played away, doesn't bother me.

I was sitting in the Gallowgate end at Newcastle when we won 2-1 (Ian Wright winner?) with 10 men and joined the geordies applauding us off the pitch at the end. Saw us win at the Den and the New Den - both times in with the Millwall. Lost count of how many away games I've been to and sat with the home fans. Generally preferred the sides though rather than their "end".

If you want to see the Arsenal play and its the only ticket you can get then go for it. I actually think its a nice feeling to just stand/sit there with a smug look on your face. That said, bit of a shitty feeling being in with them if we lose....

Anyone remember Denton and his firm taking the Holte End in the mid 80's.....?
