Cant believe djorou didnt play yesterday , been ok in the last few games , Wenger payed alot of money for that shower so his stubborness comes into it .
anyway a player who has 2 red cards and 4 yellows in 8 games wouldnt a great choicein a pressure game like this , so have to question the management.
when you thnk of it we could of had jagielka ,merterscker , even upson
at the same money , its all rubbish these players turned us down, if that sort of money was offered no way would they not except
we need 3 top players in january or we will not make top 4 ,i can guarantee you that , why bother how you upset players when u bring in some top players , if they dont like it there is the door .
keeper , centre back and a defensive midfielder who actually stays infront of the defence , maybe even a striker , a striker who hits early on goal ( not chamakh)
sakho , shay given , that young french kid who played against england the other night defensive mid and i like the look of falcao , porto or suarvez from ajax
Dont play him because he cost the money
Re: Dont play him because he cost the money
Don't forget Gary Cahill - the most accomplished young centre half in the PL - plying his trade at a small club over £80m in debt . Still I suppose he won't be available at "the right price" and is "no better than the squad I have already"nikman 89 wrote:Cant believe djorou didnt play yesterday , been ok in the last few games , Wenger payed alot of money for that shower so his stubborness comes into it .

Forget about January - we'll hear all the usual bull about how players values are 'unrealistic' in the Jan window i.e. smaller clubs do not allow themselves to be bullied into under-selling their best players (and what the fuck is wrong with that exactly I ask you ?)
Upson? The guy who thought he was a leftback when playing Germany? He is a midtable cb at best. We would have still conceded three goals against Spurs with Given in all and at least Fabianski dealt with a few crosses. Did people watch Gary Cahill in his few apperances for England when he was lax in possession and caused England problems by missing headers?
Wenger got it wrong in changing the cb pairing for the Spurs game. He got it wrong in starting Almunia this season, he got it wrong in not adding dm's to the squad. Not always convinced by the guys Arsenals fans tend to nominate though

Not sure what games you were watching then....Magic Hat wrote:Upson? The guy who thought he was a leftback when playing Germany? He is a midtable cb at best. By the way what did you think of Tony Adams the first few times he played for England. Try finding a centre half in their early 20s who has never made a mistake ??
Personally I'd prefer a talented young centre back like Cahill who makes the odd mistake rather than Lorient's best player - a Ligue 2 quality player who you will never have to question on international duty as that day will never come
