WHO ELSE IS NOT GOING TODAY?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WHO ELSE IS NOT GOING TODAY?

Post by gus ceasar is a legend »

Gutted as had a ticket but due to the Doris's slack birth control policy (to be fair what girl wouldn't want me in their knickers  ) I am on rugrat duty whilst she is out!

However I have a plan!

I am about to start drinking now so that in true kick off tradition I am half pissed before the first whistle! With Sopcast on I intend to sing and shout as much as I do at The Grove, possibly annoying the neighbours hugely but that's their problem!

At half time I want others to join me here for the same half time banter as you would get at the game and for us to discuss how poor Swiis Phil has been in the first half!

The second half will then slip by more easily due to more half time beer and we hope more goals for the Arsenal!

After the final whistle I suggest we then meet for post game analysis at my new online Gooner pub The 12 Rocketing Gunners Chapmans Pins As you will notice this is a hybrid of most of our favourite watering holes! The bar will stay open until around 7pm at which time it will close as I stagger to the telly to watch egg chasing!

Let all of us who cannot be there have a good matchday too!

Saturday has just got better....no panicing over Swiss Phil! I had forgotten he had gone lame!

Now approaching beer number three!

The atmosphere is now building outside the ground and today I have a seat in the sofa quadrant (a stewardless area so I can swear and stand up whenever I like!)

In a minute I may well slaughter a horse, cook it in diesel and then sell it in a bun to myself for the sum of three quid! Marvellous!

:P

I certainly will Wayno.. in fact I have invited 28 dogs to use my bathroom for a few hours just so the aroma is similar to The Grove's facilities!

However, I do refuse to water down my beer but in keeping with The Grove experience I am throwing the best part of a fiver down the bog everytime I have a beer!

I am also hoping my road outside becomes 90% covered with horse shit!

I think you should get back to the sofa 5 minutes after the second half has started and don't forget to turn the television off a few minutes before final whistle, to avoid traffic on the stairs

My house is nice Wayno but it is not club level so I will be staying until the end!

Can number five now so that is 25 quid I have lobbed away! Excellent!

Does anyone know a nothern monkey who has nothing to do today? I need one to sit at the other end of my lounge singing weird songs with a dodgy accent! I will laugh at him and hurl abuse!

Can't be there today either. Had a ticket and all. Oh well, hopefully Sopcast will download soon (it's going fucking slowly for some reason) and we'll be ready to rock and roll...
