As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Times, oddly enough for an English paper, said the ref got it right

Agreed, I think the Times sports coverage is usually second to none, but they have got the rugby wrong this time
Will have to start reading the 'Sport'

I think it was a try, you could see his leg lift up the ground just when it was reaching the line.
Even if it wasn't a try, why did england got a penalty afterwards?

It wasn't a try. I have actually seen it only in freeze frames so I can't be sure.
But Martin Johnson said it was a no try.
Well, the best team won the cup really...

His foot was stuck in neutral which is why it wasn't a try, and Hamilton tyres were on the white line before he ,erm i think i'm getting confused.
