usual thread starter… so do you think we’ll still be unbeaten in two weeks’ time? Anfield will be a huge test, and Man Utd is never an easy ask, wherever we play them. Would you prefer to get two draws from those games (two points) or take three points with a win and a defeat? Let’s just hope we get something!
Arsenal haven’t played anyone yet (22/10)
We've been lucky at times as we could of dropped 2 points at home to Fulham on the first day
But we could of got 2 extra points away to Blackburn
Sparta Prague was an excellent win away from home & the return leg was relaxed but still getting a 3-0 win was nice
Manchester City are proving to be a ok team under Sven & them at the time top of the table & KS not letting in any goals it was Super Cesc's winner for 3 points
Not a real threat from Portsmouth we were 3-0 ahead until Kanu scored a goal which could consider being luck or even just skill but a good enough win over Harry's side
I always get a feeling that a lose will be around the corner at either the Lane or Grove/Highbury because i know one day I’ll have family or friends telling me about when we lost against them but thankfully the last time we did i was in little school with a class only supporting Arsenal (expect one person who got a kicking after the cup final in 2001
) & a excellent win over the struggles of Tottenham so it was half expected to win to say the least
Seville was a great win over the Uefa cup holders (& super cup & the Spanish cup) & a team Tottenham couldn't beat home & away so the away leg will be nice to see what comes up but I’m sure that was a impressing win for us
Derby, say no more with Tottenham looking like Brazil against them a few weeks earlier & Liverpool getting a 6-0 win over the rams 5-0 was easy play for the Gunners
Newcastle a whole different side but still the young guns get a 2-0 win over the angel of the north, very impressed by them but only so far there have all played one game
West Ham hasn't been a nice game to go to in the last couple of years & this winner from Van Persie (starting to get on form now) & also a winner in Bucharest which was a tough match as always for Arsenal with not such a good record in East Europe
Arsenal taking Sunderland quite lightly after easily going ahead 2-0 then fuck up & draw 2-2 but it was 3-2 in the end to us & the first time we fear since Fulham that we would drop points
& Bolton a struggling team to face again at home was good enough to see a 2-0 win over them & the troubles there having & also the injury to Nic Anelka they weren't never going to have a easy game

I can"t say I"m not nervous about the next two weeks. Just because we did well against the rest of the "big four" last season does not mean we will do so this time around. We have a very tough two weeks ahead. Also I don"t like the term unbeaten. I feel we should never compare 03/04 to any other season. We just need to keep doing what we are doing. Firstly Sparta which any win will do. I would like to rest a few players also. Then Anfield which is never easy at all so I am not feeling good about it at all. Then there is the Carling Cup which I would like to see the likes of Nordveit, Gibbs, Traore, Merida and Bendtner. Then manure at home and they don"t come much tougher. It is as hard as Anfield if not harder. Iam going to call them equal. Any result in them matches and I would have a very big smile, The most important thing is that we keep doing what we are doing.

so we haven't played the top 4 teams yet..? the teams we have played are the teams we droped points last season and this season we haven't last season was a poor one but there was two highlights 1) carling cup final 2) only losing 1 game against the top 4 and having the best head-2-head record of the top 4, so if we have a simular record this season and don't drop the point against the so called lesser sides then le are laughing

Confidence plays a big part. the fact that they haven't had the hardest test yet is a big reason for why we're still unbeaten.
The next few weeks will tell a lot, if they're up to the hardest challenge, if they lose one of these fixtures how they will react.
But whatever happens at the least the forecasts about Arsenal not being able to retain their place in the top four and even falling below Spurs were hilariously unfounded.
