Tough Run Ahead
Tonight
Arsenal vs Prague
This may not be as easy as people think so I would be delighted with any win.
Sunday
Liverpool vs Arsenal
There is no way this will be easy. I think most Gooners will be happy with a draw including myself as any game at Anfield is tough.
Next Wednesday
Sheffield United vs Arsenal
Any win will be good for the progress of the Youth team. I"d like to see Nordveit, Gibbs, Denislon, Diaby, Merida, Bendtner, Traore and Justin Hoyte with Fabianski on goal
Next Sunday
Arsenal vs Manure
Very tough and maybe most Gooners will be delighted with a draw also.
Of course a win against L"pool and maunure would be better and be all the better for the squad.

I wouldn't say I'd be delighted with a draw against United. If we're going to be serious title contenders, you'd like to think we'd be capable of beating anyone at home. For that reason, although I wouldn't be devastated with a draw, we should be aiming for a win. Nothing else.
I agree with the rest of your post, though. Maybe the Sheffield United game isn't of great importance, but it would be nice to see our kiddies continue with their progress at a very difficult ground.

Bang on TS. We have to beat manure at home.
Would take a draw away at the mousers though.
But a win against the mousers would be a massive psychological lift for us and a bit of a blow to them if half the rumours (about unhappy players and coaches/backroom staff etc) coming out of Anfield are true. It might just knock them off the title hunt altogether, especially if they lose or draw a game or two after that one. I honestly believe they are the most fragile of the top four clubs (caused by Benitez constantly f*cking with his first team line up and destabilising his own players).
Manure, unfortunately, appear stronger mentally than the mousers so beating them won't end their title hunt (probably wouldn't even dent it).
So, it is vital we lose neither game but beat the filth and at least draw with the mousers.

our 2003 unbeaten run came to an end after an awesome 3-1 tanking of sunderland (doesn't sound that good but the football was stunning)
our 49 game unbeaten run ended after another total football performance the 3-1 caning of villa in which their backup dutch keeper (name?) was unbelievable
our unbeaten runs generally end after our very best footballing performances at home
when we win away otoh - we virtually never lose the next game (maybe actually never under wenger not sure how2 check)
...just an observation

I see the Liverpool away game as more winable than the United home game.DB10GOONER wrote:Bang on TS. We have to beat manure at home.

With the Liverpool players looking very short of confidence, and another poor performance from them tonight, I'd be disappointed if we don't beat them on Sunday.
Re United, I agree with TS that we should be going for victories in all our home games but their form is as good as ours at the moment (I know I'd be delighted to see Arsenal score 4 goals away to Kiev).
