I watched the match on Setanta Ireland last night. The comentary was good enough, but in the studio they had Ray Parlour The Romford Pele ((C) Marc Overmars) and the big fat twat (and bastardhole) Pat Dolan
. Dolan is an arrogant tosser for anyone that doesn't know of him and is often critical of Arsenal in a bitter, sneery way. He publiscises himself as a bit of a character in Irish football. But more anoyingly he is one of those tossers that played reserve level football in England for a few years and came back with a fake mild English accent (Just so we all know he once played in England).
He was actually signed on YTS forms by Arsenal in the 80's but wasn't good enough so he ended up on loan at Walsall then moved there permanently before they in turn loaned him back to St Pat's in Ireland. So he is a little bitter towards us. Put him sitting in a studio beside an Arsenal legend (with a nice load of winners medals too) and you could see his hackles raise...
At one stage Ray said something about Hleb becoming more important for us and how much he has improved.
Dolan pipped in with "Yeah, but he doesn't tackle does he?"
Ray responded with, "He doesn't need to."
Dolan; "Oh so you're telling me you can win the Champions League with no tacklers."
Ray; "Er, no. That's what Flamini does in there. Hleb is more of a creative player."
Cue dumb silence from Dolan as the presenter swiftly moved on...
