Suffolf police a bit strict for 2moros game

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's really patronising and implies that Arsenal fans are hooligans. What's their fucking problem?

A person who knowingly causes or permits alcohol to be carried on a coach or train or who is drunk on a coach or train is also guilty of an offence.

How is being pissed a criminal offence? :?

Being drunk and disorderly in public is against the law.

I cant remember the last time Ipswich town done anything of note since the Marcus Stewart days.

The coppers probably are looking forward to their extra pay, seeing a big club at their ground and having their day in the sun.

But it doesn't say that. Obviously causing disruption is an offence but just being under the influence of alcohol surely isn't?

I read a review by a Coventry fan who said there was a ridiculously high police presence & that they were a bit overzealous for what was a low risk fixture without any chance of trouble. Heard rumours of police escort in & out tomorrow but i just can't see it. Fuck it, we'll see what happens.

Bizzies treating football fans like shit, again. I don't understand it, as others have mentioned this isn't a high risk fixture :?

exactly - disorderly is the point

‎"Proactive enforcement will include the use of Direction to Leave notices under Section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. This power allows officers to serve a notice on any person they feel may cause alcohol related violence. The person can be banned from a venue or even the whole town for up to 48 hours, and if they refuse to leave the area or return during this time they can be arrested. "

I wonder if I can issue some proactive enforcement direction to leave notices against the pigs who have a greater history of and propensity toward violence than Gooners.

The filth have form for shooting Brazilian electricians in the face, unprovoked attacks on newspaper sellers causing their later deaths, unlawful imprisonment (kettling) of lawful protestors including school children - they also escape any kind of punishment for these actions. Now they are threatening some of the most peaceful and law abiding football fans in Britain. When was the last time a Gooner did any of those things?
a pig was 'done' recently for the savage cowardly beating of a handcuffed soldier because he was drunk - the pig was only fired because there was cctv and it was a soldier. You or me would do serious time for the same thing.

If anyone should be issuing proactive warnings it should be the normally peaceful Arsenal fans. Threaten people enough and they may turn.

Worth noting:
The Football Supporters' Federation have been advising fans for donkey's years, and as they’ve grown, so has the volume of complaints and queries. In particular policing, stewarding and legal matters are taking up ever-increasing amounts of time. So they're happy to welcome aboard a new caseworker, Amanda Jacks.

Any problems relating to stewarding, policing or legal issues should be sent to amanda.jacks@fsf.org.uk.

To be fair to the OB Jean Charles de Menzes was guilty of looking foreign in a built up area, and willfully using the northern line with intent to travel and thus was practically asking to get shot.
