Ricky Gervais

Post by Arsenal 1991 »

Did anyone see his monologue on the golden globes, here it is if you didn't here it is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvHXzP2S ... r_embedded

Fucking brilliant, a lot of people didn't like it but De Niro and Alec Baldwin were pissing themselves laughing.

I think its one of those things, where you are really uncomfortable if you are friends with the people being laughed at or are sitting near them but if not you'll find it hilarious.

He did a similar thing last year, but they hired him back. I think he said before the event that they wouldn't hire him again after his monologue. So I don't think he cares.

Having just watched that and the 2010 one for the first time, I think the previous year's monologue was funnier. 8)

Is Colin Firth a Gooner (because he played N. Hornby in "Fever Pitch") :?:

He's not really into football but he has said in the past that due to his role in the film, he keeps an eye out for Arsenal results. Mind you, that was before he became busy and started picking up all these awards.

As David Brent he was brilliant, anything else good he does is really down to Stephen Merchant the real brains behind the act........ 8)
