Debate in Parliament about safe standing at football matches

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes but where are the tits?
They're live on ITV4 and they're 1-2 down.

I would love to see the return of standing. Can you imagine the atmosphere we could generate at the Grove if we could have ten thousand gooners standing behind each goal. Happy days munching Percy Dalton peanuts and pissing into a rolled up newspapers.

As the debate shows, it is not about safety anymore - that had been proved. It is about the will of clubs and the ability to convert stadiums.

And rebel has a point - should be for those who want standing as a principle and for the young "energetic" fans! It certainly shouldn't make it anymore difficult for people to get the kind of "experience " that they are after.

And I was scanning the link to the parlimentary minutes and the next meeting on the agenda afetr that one was:

  • "Incontence"

You just can't keep sp**s out of the news :!: [/i]

Arsenal would be stupid not to consider standing area's, the Grove is crying out for more atmosphere and thats one of the best ways to do it.

the whole of Club level anyone??

I wonder how much the capacity would increase by if Arsenal chose to introduce a standing area? I also wonder if they would reduce the price significantly for standing areas.
