Spuds appoint their FIFTH foreign manager

Post by goonerak »

FIFTH!!!

They accuse us of not doing enough for the English national team and there they are constantly preventing English managers from the experience of constantly being under pressure and having to watch their backs (except in spuds case they have to watch out for the directors and not the media).

1) Christian Gross
2) Jacques Santini
3) Martin Jol

Surely he's the 4th foreigner?

Unless you're counting Jocks as foreigners

One thing I must say is that this guy is good. I funking hate Spuds but that is a good appointment for them. Look at what he did at Sevilla with funk all funds. He brought them to win the UEFA Cup twice and brought that club to fourth in the Spanish league last season. I am shitting that the bad times of currently have now finished

He can't speak English - only Spanish. I think he will have problems getting his point across and the passion will be lost in the translation.

Apparently, according to one paper this week, their new manager is a mixture of Wenger, Ferguson and Mourinho rolled into one. We'd all better start shitting ourselves then, the scum's race for 4th place is back on

Of course, yes.

I often make the mistake of thinking the era of the foreign manager starts with Wenger, fogetting the Dr. Joe Venglos's of yesteryear. Also difficult to remember Ossie being a foreigner considering how long he was here.

To be honest it's probably better that we do get some competition between us, it's too easy to beat them as they are.

It's probably good to have a Tottenham side that can reach cup finals and challenge for titles, as long as it's us that beat them in cup finals and title races if you know what I mean.

And I can't see them getting anywhere near us just yet.
