I finally made it into the Gooner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I finally made it into the Gooner

Post by Wayno »

Well almost. Whilst reading the Mickey Cannon pages of the previous issue of the Gooner (issue 178), the writer writes
I still like how the announcer says the player's first name and the fans shout the surname but I know it grates with some fans. A good suggestion on the Gooner online was for each player to introduce himselfon the big screen, similar to how they do it on Soccer AM's cross bar challenge. They do this in the NFL and it looks really good.
Well that was my good suggestion 8) Just a shame I got no name check in the article or credits

One day

Yeah, I like it too 8) . Better than that horrible cheesy first name last name shit  .

At the time Wayno I added that the players should be made to do a little trick each with the ball. "We pay their wages, I want tricks", I think I said.

I stand by that...

I like the trick idea DB10!

However, how can they get footage of Senderos trying to trap a skip....and failing?

i somehow managed to make the last gooner too.

A quick query:

Anyone know which gooner it was last season (after the chelsea away game), in the letters section there was a picture of cashley hole being abused by arsenal fans, and there is a pic of myself and my cousin hurling abuse at the *word censored*. If anyone knows which copy it is, please let me know as i'd love to buy a copy off the gonner site
