Willy: "Anfield display to scare rivals"

I don"t know if I agree with him but.

William Gallas believes Arsenal’s performance at Anfield on Sunday will have scared their title rivals.

Arsène Wenger’s side fell behind after seven minutes when Steven Gerrard fired home a free-kick but their response was excellent and they fully deserved their equaliser by Cesc Fabregas 10 minutes from time.

"I think we showed everybody we can fight for the title,â€

So who are our title rivals, Manu & Chelsea? Will they really be scared? Both will come to the Grove expecting to leave with a point, Manu possibly believing they will take all three. Again I believe both will settle for a point in their home ties against us. I don't believe the title will be decided by the big four fixtures, it will be results against the likes of Villa, Boro, Newcastle etc that decides this years title.

good point
last season the 6 games against the other top teams resulted in only one defeat,, it was losing to west ham twice and the likes that were our down fall,, this season is going well so far but theres still a long way to go and many matches still to be played so lets not get to cocky even if we beat the mancs next sat

I was trying to explain to a mate that if we came a way with two draws from Liverpool and Utd i would be happy(ish) obviously i would rather 4pts or 6 would have been great
But i tried to explain two draws were better than a win and a loss even though we would walk away 2 pts not 3. this is because it means Liverpool and Utd drop points two so nither one gains points on us.

Agree totally AA1886, the only problem with two draws is that it gives the Chavs a chance to close the gap.
