It needed to mate.hassle travel wrote:I'm a member of the club but have nothing to do with committee, there is a good lad sorting tickets etc, committee changed over last few years from what I heardDB10GOONER wrote:Is that cunt with the club blazer still running you lot?

Won't mention surnames, but we watched the 95 ECWC final with DASC in a pub on the quays (anna livia or Hapenny Inn?) and the head honcho then was a guy called PJ. Fucker got up in his club blazer and slacks just before kick off and lectured us all on our behaviour if we won - "Now let's not make too much noise, lads" etc etc.

One of my mates wanted to smack him but we talked him out of it!

Most of the lads in DASC I spoke to that night weren't too kean on old PJ and his mate as apparently back then PJ and mate got all the Cat A games and went over to present the player of the year trophy themselves every year! Most of the lads in it seemed to be just in it to get access to tickets.
I wonder what happened to old PJ? Maybe he made it onto our board?

On a similar note, I'm going to be in Capital City the following weekend. Any ideas on a good pub to watch the Sunderland game? I'm going to be staying out in Tallafornia, but with the LUAS nearby I'll be able to leave at medium speed and get into the city if there is somewhere the local Gooners gather.

I'd probably suggest you try the Mercantile with the DASC. If PJ is gone they might be ok.

Most pubs will have it on.
