I'm just watching West Ham on Sky and Richard Wright is playing in goal. His move away from Arsenal must rank among the worst career decisions in football history - from Arsenal's bench, to Everton's bench, to West Ham's bench.
I know he's been unlucky with injuries etc, but if he'd shown a little patience he just might have succeeded David Seaman. What a plonker.

I think his biggest error was leaving Ipswich, if it was the pressure or just not being good enough for the job, he was awful at Arsenal. In his one season, he looked utterly out of his depth and not even good enough for second place at the club, dropping behind Taylor. The choice for him was stay third choice till he was sold or move to a club where he could rebuild his reputation, instead of just staying for the money he chose his career but has had little luck since. Hardly a plonker.
I feel sorry for him and wonder how he could have replaced Seaman exactly? Jens and I suspect Almunia would have been brought in anyway if he was even still at the club. How well did he play today?
