PS: I added a PS at the beginning so that I can safely assure all the readers of this thread that I am very pissed and should just leave if they donâ€™t want to read any further.

I think I might be mellowing in my old age, but I had a serious look back at all the crossroads in my life because I turned 40 today. Iâ€™ve read what seems to be a meltdown on the forum recently (read the last few days), which with our fairly poor results and all the conspiracy theories makes for some interesting reading. I am on this forum because I enjoy the craic, banter and in general (trying) to be funny (which I normally fail at).

I will put my hand up and admit that I have been calling certain people WUMs, because in my book they are â€“wind up merchants- and trolls who only seem to post anti-arsenal â€œpropagandaâ€

I was always a gooner . my family are arsenal and I grew up in arsenal territory (60/40 in favour) so I think sometimes your club is what you become

Strange (to me anyway) what you mentioned at the end of your message "did you choose Arsenal" or did they choose you. I was thinking this exact same thing this morning and finished with the thought that Arsenal chose me.

I put my early childhood into context combined to things that happened and at the end of I was convinced I was a born a gooner

Hey Mega ...appi burfday... Hope you had a good one.... I am also very very pissed today...was on the beers all afternoon til about 8....then home to a mother of all rows with the missus...silly old bint....
any ways..... I think its probably you picking the club...with me being brought up in Shoreditch 50 years ago, you was either scum or Arsenal... even families were divided .... I was lucky in the great lottery of life... I chose the Arse !
