As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Just wanted to express my happiness at a great performance from our boys yet again!!!!
Also to say that Gallas is bloody fantastic in my eyes....The way he hugged Arsene in celebration of his superb last minute goal showed that he has the utmost respect for le Boss!!!
And if that wasn't enough he surpassed himself in his interview after the game as when told he won Man of Match he announced " this bottle is not for me it's for my team!!! "
Excuse my French but FUCKING OUTSTANDING!!!!!!
Gallas you are a true sportsman and a true gent and more than worthy of being the Arsenal captain!!!!!
Took his time to settle but we are now starting to see the best of him. Lets hope he stay injury free for our title winning run in. And lift the champ league in Moscow, ow and FA cup at Wem, but i dont think he will be playing in league cup final
We def deserved at least a draw after dominating them for 75 minutes and the spirit the team showed was a credit to them. I am very disappointed though in the substitutions le boss made today - eboue has been slated by all and sundry(me included) but in the 2nd half today he was playing really well and yet he was subbed Rosicky who I like was probably our 2nd worst player today behind the very poor adebayor. I cannot understand why eduardo is brought on to play on the wing when(a) he is clearly a striker & (b) the striker we had was not in the game. Hleb should also feel very disappointed to be withdrawn and subbing 2 of our more creative players together(hleb & tommy) for bert & dudu made no sense. If we needed bert at that stage, and I believe we did, then it should have been a straight swap for flamini who for all his endevour & commitment has been found wanting over the last 2 games against the "big boys". As was mentioned elsewhere a huge thumbs up to gallas who has responded to the captaincy in outstanding fashion and is now looking a shrewd decision.
In the circumstances that draw felt every bit as good as a win....was holding my breath when goal went in!! wasnt too sure whether it/or what had been given!!
Anyone else see Gallas at the final whistle shouting 'Never give up' to the other players??
After his contribution no one can fault his leadership!
Extremely glad he scored....it soon wiped the smug faces off the manure fans in the pub!!!
