The nice bit about the club
In amongst all the frustration surrounding this forum, thought you might want to hear this story:
The guy next to me at work's great uncle has been in hospital with throat cancer for 6 months. Yesterday was his 80th birthday and has been a season ticket holder since he was a lad.
Arsenal put his birthday in the programme, put it out over the tannoy, and Wenger wrote him a long, hand-written letter commemerating his 80th birthday and all the time and effort he's put in to see Arsenal week-in and week-out for 60 years.
He died this afternoon, as happy as he could be in his situation.
Nice to see the club doing things like that.

Sorry to hear of his passing.
The club is not all evil, as some posts here suggest!
They do special things like this for fans, and make provision for disabled fans beyond that required by law.
There is a human face to the club, and I have been issued with special car park permits when taking disabled friends to games, that the club had no obligation to issue.

Aaron Ramsey's a West Ham fan...Aaron11 wrote:Sorry to hear about your loss, what a nice thing of the club to do.
A friend of mine plays for braintree town and had a similar leg break to Aaron Ramsey and they sent him a get well card and a home shirt signed by the whole first team....shame he's a westham fan though.

got a letter from arsene when i got married . very personal it was wishing me and elaine all the best and all that bollocks
but sometimes the club does remind us of the class it can have compared to other clubs,

a very nive thing for the club to do and the gesture also shows that arsene also values the supporters of the club and i think its abt time that we got behind arsene to rally the troop for the next nine games, and im also sorry to hear abt the death of a gooner, hope the guy who passed away is looking down at a championship winning team,
