Arsenal fonts
Where could I get something equivalent to:
-the current Arsenal font (as seen in "Arsenal FC, not PLC" banners)
-the oldschool "ARSENAL STADIUM" font (as seen on Highbury)
-any other Arsenal related ones
Preferably free-to-use, public domain type of thing.

The typeface used on the current badge (and subsequently in the AFC not PLC artwork) is "ClearGothic". It's part of a typeset family that contains Bold, Italic, Light, Thin, Black, Super Bold versions etc. Have a look around online, it's not too hard to find.

There doesn't appear to be a typeface available for this text that was used on the old badge up until 2002, believe me i've looked lol. I'd guess that it was something knocked up specifically for the Arsenal crest in the 40s or whenever it was. I've traced it by hand in Illustrator to create a vector version that can be scaled up without limit for use in hi-res artwork but that's as good as i've got. There are certain typefaces which are close but not exact. Certainly "Cloister Black" has some characters which are quite similar.
The font on the outside of Highbury i've not really paid attention to before. I'd imagine it'd be fairly easy to find a similar one in an art deco font pack though...

It's not possible anyway, I don't have a full typeset of that font & i'm 99% certain one doesn't exist. If you can come up with a strapline consisting only of the letters in the word "Arsenal" then it may be a possibility.NBN wrote:But the old school crest is ok???Arsenal 1991 wrote:Think that would send out the wrong message.frankbutcher wrote:Could we change the Arsenal Fc Not Plc font to the old-school Arsenal font, as used by Dan85?
That's put an end to that argument

I did, until I was laid off recently. D'oh! Currently doing freelance bits & bobs until I get back into full time work. Print based stuff mainly, catalogues, brochures, flyers etc...flash gunner wrote:Do you work as a designer Dan?Dan_85 wrote:It's not possible anyway, I don't have a full typeset of that font & i'm 99% certain one doesn't exist.
