How do you normally get to the Grove? If you can get as far the Tube network then you have cracked it. Gatwick from the Grove is easy. Tube to victoria (15mins) then jump on the Gatwick express (30mins). I takes this route each time I go to the Grove, it really is easy.

I train it down but at 2 in the morning there isnt any chance of a train from borough.

Are there any cheap B&Bs near the grove then i could go down tues night then go with someone if any of you are taking that journey.

Please let me know if anyone can help.

thanks alot
Rik

it says outside the hope workers cafe on the holloway road that they have rooms, if their rooms are as good as their chicken and chips then you should be sorted. can't help you with the journey part though, although i'm sure that there'll be plenty of people happy to oblige on that front.

Don't know if it helps at all but there is an all night train that runs from Bedford to Gatwick, every hour. Takes about 2 1/4 hours.

I am sure you know already that there is a 4am train from peterboro that also stops in Huntingdon. Changing at Kings X gets you to gatwick @ 6.52.

Good luck and stay away from those dirty ladies in prague

Before we get too distracted on the prostitutes angle, an attempt at a helpful reply.

I don't know what time you have to be at the airport, but the key piece of information is that trains on the Thameslink (or whatever it's now called) run from Kings Cross Thameslink station (just across the road from the main Kings Cross) to Gatwick all through the night.

So you can either get the last train from P'Boro (which leaves at about 11pm) and then connect on to the Thameslink, which would get you to Gatwick at about 2 in the morning and then just doss at the airport.

Or you could get the first train from P'Boro at 4am, which with a connection gets you to Gatwick at 8am ish. A bit of surfing on the National Rail Enquiries website should show you the options.

Good luck.
