Would you try this?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Would you try this?

Post by Barriecuda »

Assuming we had to stick with 4-3-3, what about a crazy XI of:

GK (whoever/whocares)
SB: Walcott and Gibbs
CB: Song and Koscielny
DMF: Ramsey
CMF: Cesc
AMF: Nasri
LWF: Wilshere
RWF: Arshavin
CF: Bendtner

Worth a go?

Couldn't be worse than the usual shitty crosses from the sidebacks, lack of midfield bottle, sloppy defending and inability to score against teams like Blackburn..?

I mean no personal offense here, but that's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read on this forum - and that is saying something.

So your answer to our problems would be to play Theo Walcott at right-back, drop RvP and play Wilshere on the wing?

I'm sorry, but there's so much wrong with that, I don't know where to start. This really was a silly post.

You're a couple of days late for an April Fools joke aren't you Barrie?

Sorry mate but I have to agree with Tony. As if we don't defend badly enough as it is, that line up would have us looking like a poorer version of Blackpool, with goals leaking in left, right and centre.

We need a defensive midfielder who makes crunching tackles, puts the fear of god into attacking opponents and does everything he can to make sure that ball doesn't get into the danger area.

Twinkle toed Aaron Ramsey isn't the answer.

Lorik Cana. That's all there is to say. Why why why did we let him go to Sunderland for I think 8mil.

He was due to have a trial with us when he was young but he was denied a visa.

I didn't mean it seriously as a solution. What I was getting at, is based on our disappointing last few weeks, would you be desperate enough to try something as ridiculous as this?

The sillyness was intended, not a product of stupidity

Ramsey has talent but not sure he is cut out for defensive midfielder so soon after injury, maybe later in career.
