Fergie is clearly riled for all the reasons that delgooner suggests.

But he is also doing it for a purpose (whatever we think about him, the man's not a fool). He is trying to wind Wenger up. After all, the most successful ever use of "mind games" in this country was when Fergie baited Keegan, who took the bait hook, line and sinker.

My hope is that Wenger simply maintains a dignified silence and refuses to comment on Fergie's remarks. It will show that we are not going to be wound up by his pettiness and will have the added bonus of making Fergie even angrier

Have to agree with all the above as I was lucky enough to attend the great match on Saturday and saw old Fregie lose the plot more than once
