I KNOW THE CONDITIONS WERE DIFFICULT BUT REALLY!! WE DIDN'T HAVE A SHOT ON TARGET UNTIL THE LAST COUPLE OF MINUTES AND TOO MANY PLAYERS WERE OFF-FORM OR PURELY COMPLACENT!!
FIRST HALF, I AGREE GUS. BUT IN THE SECOND HALF DIABY REVERTED TO TYPE - TAKING TOO MANY TOUCHES; TURNING INTO HIS MAN WITH THE BALL AFTER INITIALLY BEATING HIM, AND POOR DISTRIBUTION!
I HONESTLY FELT WE WERE GOING TO LOSE TONIGHT BECAUSE WE JUST DIDN'T SEEM AT THE RACES, IN ANY ASPECT OF OUR PLAY. LIKE YOU SAID, THE ONLY POSITIVE IS THAT WE HAVE NOW QUALIFIED AND CAN RELAX FOR A CHANGE.
HOWEVER, THE RESULT COULD HAVE SERIOUS IMPLICATIONS BECAUSE NOW IT LOOKS LIKE WE'LL HAVE TO AVOID DEFEAT IN SEVILLE TO WIN THE GROUP. IF WE DON'T, WE'LL HAVE TO PLAY A GROUP WINNER IN THE FIRST KNOCK-OUT STAGE.
Diarra was so so but how many times did he give away a free kick by their corner flag!!!! Sure they were the slightest of brushes to make them sit on their arses but after the third time he should have learnt!

Actually watched the game on my own TV, and wot a load of shit it was.

I know we don't want to finish as runners up as it makes the next round harder, but, if we want to win the competition we've got to beat the best teams! Does it really matter at which stage we do that?

Although i do think our squad is a bit thin in certain areas and last nights display was poor i think we have to remember we still got a point and that got us through to the next phase. We cant play amazing football every game and having the knack of getting what you need out of a game that you play badly in is something all good teams can do. I think that was lacking last season where we probably would have lost to a late goal in a game like last night.
If anything they should have put in half a performance for the travelling fans! It was alright for them sat in their big Arsenal coats and stupid granny blankets but there were people there who had probably spent upwards of £250 quid and at least 24 hours of their time to go and see them. If you're getting paid £30,000+ to play football for ninety minutes you should be willing to play it in a field of Big sh*t! A bit of rain and cold should'nt stop you getting your arse out fo first gear. I'm very disappointed.

Just got home. Got up at 03.00 yesterday got home at 07.45 today had about an hours sleep on bench at Gatwick waiting for my train. And can't go to bed cos got to wait till 10.30 when villa tickeys go on sale (my son only has 8 credits) Spent fuck knows how much and it was fucking freezing and pissing down most of day. Game was shyt 1 shot on target all game. But thats the risk you take. You have to experiance the shit games to appreciate thr good ones.
