Silver and Red Membership Renewals, massive price increase

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Silver and Red Membership Renewals, massive price increase

Post by tel »

The wankers at OUR club have done it again. To renew for silver membership now costs £49 if you want all the shit with it and £39 if you don't. Bastards have no concept of looking after their fans. Thanks to this increase I'll give the Emirates Cup tickets a miss this year.

Un-f**kin'-believable!!!! :banghead: :banghead:

But they do it because we let them get away with it.

If people don't want to protest now we might as well all give up and just give them the keys to our piggy banks!!

This increase along with the ST increase is obviously the way there recouping the money lost from Arsenal player subscription. Not exactly free access.

What were the costs before?

Someone should have a word and just tell them to put live reserve/youth streams on ATVO and keep the subscription :banghead:

Currently its 3.99 per month for ATVO (monthly subscription, probably works out as less if you subscribe in bulk)

Sorry I meant the cost of Red and Silver membership previously.

I don't mind paying a bit more for "Arsenal Player" or whatever it's called. However, I live in a household with 4 of us having memberships, we don't all need our own log in details, my Dad will never ever watch it. Such a shame that the club treat us like such idiots.

Why do we keep coming back? What is it people who don't like football do at weekends? *shudders thinking about it*

Rebel, is the £39 lite membership or box of tat membership?

Just did mine (red member) but it only cost me £31 for the "lite" membership. :?

Full membership is £36 which is just a fiver extra for a season review dvd and some cheap tat.

I seem to remember it being about the same last year :?

Absolute pisstake. I swear my membership is normally £27, it now appears to be £36 - an increase of 25%. *word censored*. I think i originally signed up for the "box of tat" membership, can I now opt out of that & go for the lite?

And you can fuck off with your Arsenal Player too. I didn't ask for it, it's a load of shite.

Not impressed.

An increase just so you can have the privilige to purchase a seat in the ground should you be lucky enough to get a ticket... the whole ticketing issue at the club f**king stinks. What next... if buying on general sale you pay an extra £5 a time.

I really hope that a lot of the JCL's that were on the waiting lists have long gone off to support Man U or Chelsea and that the waiting lists come down drastically during the close season this year. Would love to see what the board would make of a lot of the lesser games being like the Orient cup game, that would teach the f**kers!!

Was bit surprised to see the hike in Silver renewals but I never bother with all that tat in the pack - who wants a fucking key fob / bottle opener etc.....the club shop sells all that shit if you really want it. The only decent thing it ever contained was Perry Groves book.

All things considered it's still better being a Silver member than any other. £39 and I get first choice on tickets.

If, as expected, the GIC and the tossers that run the club pocket a fat wad from selling Cesc, and chose to reinvest it in renewing existing contracts and signing the odd second rater from minor leagues, then it will be my only investment in the club anyway.

I'll decide come 31st August whether to spend anymore - a bit like the club really. Would be the first season since '78 that I haven't attended a single home game, but I'm sick and tired of being taken for granted and treated like a gullible fool. The increased costs and salaries of our commercial team relative to what they are doing for the club is the last straw for me.

To be honest I'll be glad when this season is over - the mood is so bad now. I'll be going to the Villa game and seeing what the Summer brings
