Season Ticket Renewals - 2011/12

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Season Ticket Renewals - 2011/12

Post by MK Gould »

Survey said that 1 in 7 (14%) football season ticket holders were planning on giving it up next season. At Arsenal the figure was said to be 1 in 5 (20%).....

Just wondered what the percentage was amongst our "community".....

I've relunctantly renewed, but will be looking to sell more games via the exchange (if possible), if the same tippy-tappy shit football is persisted with...

Yes. Easy to talk about dropping down to Silver - which would actually do me fine. But then I think back to missing out on finals v Barca, Newcastle, Chelsea and United when a lowly silver member. An ST with 15+ credits guarantees me a ticket to any cup final we might be lucky enough to play in and is just too important for me to give up - even if it means going against my principles!

That said, away ST plus Silver for home games is probably better option for some.....

Again I will reluctantly renew but I will not be going many home games at all. Lucky that my seat is in demand so I am guaranteed to sell every game if I need too.

Have 16 away credits now so will carry on building them up next season and go mainly away games.

However if Wenger gets rid of Denilson, Clichy , barry, vela , squid, the clown , TR, eboue and Diaby and replaces them with passionate players I will attend home games again.

Renewed simply because of my love of football. Not sure what i'd do every weekend without being able to go down the Emirates. Win Lose Or Draw.

Lets just fucking hope we have a few more wins that this season next year eh :barscarf:

This is less likely to happen than this event:

Not like you lot to be shy, so why the reluctance to put a comment along with the "no" votes....?

What I was looking for is to see whether all the negativity had actually translated into people really deciding to give up, or refuse the offer of, a season ticket.

But if the "no" votes are not backed up with an admission then I'm inclined not to take them seriously.....

I've seen a couple of people on other threads (frankbutcher being one) who have given up one of a group of season tickets. Not yet seen anyone give up their one and only.....

I had 2 ST in my name but am giving 1 up and am sharing the other. I can't justify the money I'm laying out for something that more often than not leaves me feeling frustrated rather than excited.

I've renewed. Like IHH the joy of watching the team has ebbed away and I've no hope that we'll win anything again with the the arrogant stubborn manager we are saddled with, but still want to go to drink and chat with my mates. Also I have a curious fascination to be there when the Wenger regime comes crashing down.

Just about to send the email to say I was not going to renew. I was going to sell it for the season on here but as I am a "new" member I didn't think it was worth trying.

Got my Silver membership though :barscarf:
As I live in Scotland it makes more sense as it's hard to get to the games.

I haven't renewed yet, but I will end up doing so closer to the deadline.

Already got a mate in place for a 50/50 share, no way could i justify the cost of the whole thing.
