Don't think I've seen enough of him to make a judgement but if Arsene thinks he's good enough and does sign him then that's good enough for me. I think the area we really need to strengthen come jan is central defence as Toure is going to be a massive miss. It only needs an injury/suspension or two and we're in big trouble there.

I don't believe it, looks like tabloid speculation. But if there is any truth to it, although I'd still much prefer to have a real name of proven top quality, if AW feels the need to buy yet another hot prospect, I wouldn't object to getting Agbonlahor. I know Galasso would be upset about it though...

he is certainly a ood player but is he arsenal material, he has pace which Mr. Wenger will love but another Walcott for me but with a better pedigree.

As 26may1989 says, I would probably self-combust

But as this is never going to happen, I am happy to continue living my depressing non-combustible life.

It's a Daily Express story that's been recycled by others. I don't know what others' views of the Express are, but I wouldn't say it is a quality paper, it's a rag.

Agbonlahor? - That'll get the papers in a twist. "Look at Wenger, when he does buy an English player he's got a name we can't pronounce. What an....."

I won't accept anything less English than signing William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, Billy Bulldog or Johnny sendemallbackwheretheycamefrom
:)

There's a decent looking Mexican youngster playing in the Spanish Premiership at the moment, Vela, and he's under contract to us....

But....he is foreign..

GET RID OF HIM!! THEY TOOK OUR JOBS!!

We've got more than enough in that department before we resort to trading in the the overpriced-but-english market..

No for two reasons.

1. Hes a good player but he is never worth £15mill.
2. When it comes January we will have 6 forwards. (Rvp, Ade, Dudu, Bendtner, Walcott and Vela)
3. He is not a Wenger signing.
This is my example. Not saying if they were right or wrong decisions because it Arsene tbh and everyone can make a mistake.

Linked with........Signed
Tevez and Martins....... Eduardo
Gareth Bale....... kept Clichy
David Trezeguet..... Sylvan Wiltord
Ledely King..... Phillipe Senderos

You all see what I am saying.

you think keeping Clichy was a mistake? He's one of the best left backs in the league, and could be in the world in time. Surely I missed your point, I don't know anyone who would call keeping him a mistake

I agree with Rilo - Bale is very good but Clichy is the best leftback in England. I wouldn't mind having Bale as a left-winger though.

And Trezeguet? He's got to be one of the most overrated players in the last 10 years, I'm delighted we never signed him. Wiltord was one of the most underrated. SW did a fantastic job for us, playing a reliable team role, and it took at least a year for us to get over his departure.

Oh, and that was three reasons you gave, not two!

What's wrong with Wiltord? He scored goals, created goals and was played out of position more often than not.

Booyaa!
