Newcastle Away Travel, Booze and Hotel Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Newcastle Away Travel, Booze and Hotel Thread

Post by AA23Northbank »

Mods it would be nice to make this a sticky as per threads like this last season. Bit early I know, but time to put up a travel, booze and hotel thread for the first away of the season! Train tix are already pricey for this one, so any cheap ways of getting up there would be appreciated (crocit you out there? ) Also if the *word censored* at ESPN stick us on at 5:30pm Saturday evening there's no way of getting back to London on the Saturday as the last train is around 7  Thus a night out in Newcastle would probably happen, so any advice in cheap hotels would be appreciated! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

And if it comes to the night out, then I'm not sharing with KBJ.

Second question: what the fuck were you doing sleeping on a night out in Newcastle with a load of slags next door?

Time to bump this, can a mod make this a sticky like the booze, travel and tickets thread from last season?

Ticket info up here, allocation slightly up from the 2700 we got last season: http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/34071 ... ab=tickets

Train tix are around £66 if you go on the Saturday and come back on the Sunday on the East Coast website, last train on Saturday leaves at 7 so no chance of coming back after the game, thus I'll be doing the night out and staying in a hotel in Newcastle! Cannot wait! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

For those who want a bit of a night out there is a National express bus at 23:45 back to Victoria at only £9, gets in at 6:45 but cheap as Wenger in a transfer market :barscarf:

Had a smaller ticket allocation last season and it went to 0 credits, given the kick-off time and the fact that some regulars perhaps wouldn't be there I'd say there's a fairly decent chance
