Well, there was a mistake on the Arsenal.com page, in the history section, where they had put the coat of arms of the London Borough of Greenwich and labelled it as the coat of arms of the Borough of Woolwich.

Close-up.

Well, I Hate Hleb suggested I tell Arsenal.com, which I did.
Subject: Mistake on The Arsenal.com History Section.
Query:
Dear Arsenal, thought I'd send you this to report a mistake on the History Section of Arse.com.
On the page...

,,,the picture at the top...

...with this description...
The arms of the Borough of Woolwich and the current Club crest
...
is NOT the arms of the Borough of Woolwich. It is the new arms of the London Borough of Greenwich, which was formed in 1965 by the union of the Metropolitan Borough of Greenwich with part of the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich.
The Coat of Arms that you are displaying has the hour glass and stars from the Met. Borough of Greenwich on it, which has no relation to The Arsenal FC.
The three cannons below it, with the Lion's heads, are the original Coat of Arms of the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich, and have, of course, an association with the Royal Arsenal.
The original Coat of Arms of Woolwich is actually exactly the same as the Royal Arsenal's first crest, of1888, with the addition of the Laurels.
The 'proper' Coat of Arms picture is this one...

Hope it gets addressed, I am disappointed.
Yours,
Babu
So imagine my surprise when I got a reply back from Arsenal.com. WOW, the Club DO care, I thought. I opened the e-mail, and then this...

OK I thought, they've sent it to the 'relevant dept'...the bin.Dear Babu,

Well done Arsenal.com. Most impressive.
Less impressive is that 'please' and 'thank you' seem to be foreign words to them.
No e-mail from the 'relevant dept' saying that they've changed it, or a thank you. I am very disappointed. Of course I should have realised that they really don't give a shit, but it still hurts. It's hard to believe that this is the same Club that so helped me to integrate into life in England; the same Club who I followed religiously for years up and down the country; the same Club who I have spilt blood, sweat and tears for; the Club that I thought was more precious than life itself.
It's a sad day for me.
Oh well, at least they did change it, but this is the essence of Arsenal PLC now - a company. Not a club, just a business. A nice, shiny corporate business though, and one that does look good from the outside, but no heart and no soul.
P.S. Sad *word censored* that I am I even checked my junk/spam folder to see if the 'thank you' had somehow found it's way in there. It had not!
P.P.S. My missus has just called me a tosser for caring.

P.P.P.S. Just went back to my hotmail account to just have one final check to see if a thank you was in the inbox before I send this and to my surprise there was ONE NEW MESSAGE in my inbox.

It wasn't from Arsenal.com.
