Goal.com quotes Wenger from French TV
Arsene Wenger has responded to growing unrest by supporters over Arsenal’s transfer policy by stating that activity will increase at the end of July.
The Frenchman has been criticised for his lack of spending over the last few years, having reportedly not utilised his full budget in several transfer windows.
It is a policy which has been applauded by the likes of Uefa president Michel Platini, who has praised Arsenal for not incurring debts on the scale of Manchester United, but has rankled with fans who have become disillusioned with the club’s insistence on buying young players.
And rumours over the possible departures of key players such as Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy has left supporters worried that they will be left behind their rivals who continue to spend much more.
But when questioned on possible future transfers, Wenger said that decisions made on buying or selling players will not be rushed, as clubs still have two months before the transfer window shuts.
“We are in a waiting period, everybody is waiting that the other [club] moves,â€

I wonder where the money for the adebayor + toure sales went? And I suppose the funds for the nasri sale will evaporate into thin air as comical lines up his seventeen year old replacementDan_85 wrote:I hate this "other teams have more money than us, oh we're so poor" line that they keep trotting out. OK, I realise we can't spunk City style millions but haven't we been listed as the world's third richest club behind only Utd & Real Madrid for the last few years?!

i really think you should learn the difference between a bad player (or in this case, a player who once was very good and now is past his best) and a cuntish person.
if you're upset that he still has a contract and is in the team, then you should blame another person and you know exactly who. rosicky was offered a new contract after all that time away with the neverending injury, so how come he is the one to be blamed? think twice, mate.
it gets to my nerves that bashing of players who never did anything wrong as a person. would you like to be called a *word censored* and a wanker by your boss if you started becoming a little worse on your job?
I actually admire Wenger's principals but they are a bit idealistic.
If the money is there then spend sensibly. We all know what we need is a defence and some unbridled passion.
Quite happy for money grabbers like Nasri to go (1 good season in 4) and anything we get for Clichy is an absolute bonus (penalty give away waiting to happen).
Cesc deserves to go to Barca. Why should he wait for Arsene to wake up?
Franksav you moniker is the best on the forum.
