Reserves and Loanees - Who will prosper this season?

Post by QuartzGooner »

We had lots of young players on loan last season.

There are tons more on the books.

Who will prosper in first team football this season, and who will do well on loan?

I think Afobe and Aneke up front should make an impact at Carling Cup level.

I think Frimpong and Coquelin in defensive midfield will be involved in the first team in the domestic cups and in some league games.

Another player to keep an eye on though probably for two seasons time is Samuel Galindo, back from injury and a good prospect in defensive midfield.

Ignasi Miquel in defence looks a very good prospect, I suspect he will go on loan and flourish.

JET I have doubts over, think he looks a Championship level player.

Others to consider include: Eastmond, Murphy, Bartley, Henderson, Lansbury, Hoyte, Watt, Botelho, Freeman, Gavin Hoyte and Ozyakup.

Afobe seems to have something about him.

I rate bartley but he will never prosper under the nutty professor.

He's maybe not the most talented of the young players of the list, but I'll go for Frimpong. Now Denilson has left, there's room for him, and if he's not injured again, I'm sure he'll fill that gap. Because he's powerful, he's much more aggressive than Denilson, defends well, decent technic ..

In term of talent, I think Aneke, Afobe, Lansbury will be very good player but it'll be difficult to play for them, we've got too much offensive players at the moment. Bartley is ready for first team, but we've got already 4 center back. Coquelin will probably go on loan again at Lorient.

I think it will be Lansbury or Frimpong, now with Denilson fucked off for now, it leaves another gap. I would take Lansbury every day of the year, as I've said before, it was evident how he loved scoring against the inbreds at the shithole, and apparently he grew up a Gooner watching us at Highbury. He did well in that game, and people go on about him not being able to get into the Norwich first 11, well whoop de doo, he's what, 20?

I liked Henderson vs Orient as well. Afobe and Aneke are talked about alot, but the same applied to Randall, Nordtveit, Simpson (I still maintain he wasn't given a fair chance compared to some of our current first team shite), Murphy (he is still here isn't he) and Aliaidiere among others. Knowing AW, he'll probably put them at centre half in the league cup

I think Lansbury has what it takes although my concern is he will be another excellent English prospect that won't get a chance even if we suffer injuries!! He has been involved with the England under 21's for a few years now due to his performances on loan.

If he was French Wenger would have already played him 40 times over the last 3few years!!!

Afobe will be the only one to make it to a decent level I think. Frimpong has an outside chance.

I think Bartley. He's got what it takes imo, excited about an English lad who came through our academy and will actually fight for the shirt. He's not a bad player either, far from it actually.

I agree.

Talented boy.

Lansbury is our best talent from the list. Would love to see him get year-long loan in the Premier League.

Frimpong, no questions. Thought he looked destined for good things headed into last season, had that untimely injury, I'm putting my money down on him being the best of the listed group.

We should really have a poll asking which of those players will end up at Crystal Palace or Cardiff within 3 years. And "all of them" would be a viable option...
