Another big night of british boxing this sat. Big One Amir Khan VS Zab Judah in vegas, fighters due in ring 3am its on primetime ppv. First though Tyson Fury V Derek Chisora for british/commomwealth titles which is FREE :barscarf: on channel 5.

First the heavyweights. If im honest, im not overly impressed by either, BUT by all acounts the winner will get the honour of being beaten by Wlad Klitschko, who neither are nowhere near. I really havent overly warmed to either but i do find fury quite funny, chisora i feel doesnt repect the sport as much and see's it more as a job, where as Fury is a fighter. I dont see it being a great fight sadly, and can only go on last performances. Fury needs to be in great condition to stand a chance and on his last show looked lazy, chisora is a bit more proffesional when it comes to prep, but is also a bit lazy in the ring. Im gunna gunna take a punt on Fury being in the best shape of his life, and by late stoppage.

If they go hell for leather and its a good fight it would be great, as channel 5 more likely to thow thier weight behind it, hopefully fury as chis with warren on sky. Either way if its a success they are more likely to bid for fights meaning more free fight for mass public :barscarf:

The big fight is of course Khan/Judah, and it is gunna be a cracker without a doubt. First off I have to agree with what khan said about this being his hardest fight, Judah is a massive threat, he may have lost a few but he's come back strong and clearly should have never left light-welter. He's very quick, very strong, but his main attribute is his brain, he's great at picking a punch and has very good accuracy. Khan has been a big "lungy" in his puches the last couple of fights, and thought he wasnt clinical enough against mcloskey. But same old story with khan, he's fucking FAST. Its his main attribute as well as conditioning. He's being built up by the wildcard gym bit by bit, and will presume and his power was one of them for this fight. Not just actual stength, but his balance and positioning before throwing the punch, this is his big weakness, he jumps into his oponnent rather than being banlanced with his feet planted(its what pacman is amazing at).

Im going to go for Khan by late stoppage or on points(zab a tough mother).

One more point, Amir Khans managment are a JOKE. This is a worry although im sure roach is smart enough to keep him away from business when it matters. BUT "team khan" seem to be ruining the lads career. Trying to start a war with sky is the wrong idea, signing with primetime is the wrong idea, distancing themselves from the uk fans is the wrong idea.

First it was amir fucking around outside the ring, now its his managment team(family). He needs to sort it or it will become a distraction that pays in the ring.

I think Chisora will win as he is more accurate and skillful than Fury.

But Chisora is a nutcase. One never knows what planet he is on let alone what condition he will be in.

I predict a messy fight with Fury using his height to try and lean on Chisora and a lot of grabbing but Chisora getting a points win.

Judah is way past his best, and he was a very good fighter a few years back.

But Khan will use his reach and speed advantage to jab to a points win.

Think it will be quite a good fight, with Judah having enough savvy to land some good combinations at times, and Khan will fire back.

last night i watched a re run of Graham Earl v Michael Katsidis fight

probably the best 5 rounds of boxing i've seen in a long time - anyone who hasn't seen it - watch it you won't be disappointed

can't believe 5 is showing boxing  hope it will be good, but can't see it because the british heavyweights are joke

i think Lennox Lewis could come out of retirement and beat them all up

Amir Khan is another bloke who's career doesn't seem to be going anywhere - i remember he bursted on to the scene with loads of hype but after getting beat in the 1st round by John Prescott. He's career has just stalled - where are all these super fights - with Pacciao and Mayweather he promised

Pretty much agree with us, and no doubt that Judah can pack a punch and with both fighters having suspect chins I suspect there could be a knockout, my money is with Khan on a late stoppage. I do agree with you though on Khan's management, I don't think they have a clue, falling out with Sky isn't the best move, the fall-out with Ariza was ridiculous imo, and I do think the fact that this is a unification fight with hardly any press coverage in the UK and the fact that Khan doesn't really have a big UK fanbase compared with world champs in the past reflects badly on them rather than Khan, as Khan is an exciting fighter and should have more coverage especially after his brilliant effort against Maidana last year.

Chisora v Fury will be fun while it lasts, I don't think either has the legs to make it at world level but both dislike each other so it should be a cracker. I reckon David Price could go far though, got a good physique (steady Jayson  ) and looks like he has the tools to make an impact

Agree 100% about David Price, he is the big british heavyweight prospect im my opnion. And if he keeps progressing the way he has could go on to big things. Id love to see him get the winner of chis/fury although it looks as if wlad has that taken.

Thinking of round betting on Fury, I heard he lost 25 pounds for this fight and Manny Steward reckons he will be the next big thing in heavyweight.

Some decent round odds with PP, might just do a quid every round bar the first see where I go, and a fiver on a points decision to cover my arse.

Yeah fury looked in the best shape of his life at the weigh in, chisora on the other hand has put on weight and is at his heaviest ever and looked flabby to be honest.

Chis is clearly going for an early stoppage. But think extra weight may backfire.

Godo scrap.

Fury looked in shape for first time in ages.

Deserved his win but reckon a rematch down the line would be a good seller, Chisora fought hard and threw big hooks.

I'm seen more entertaining scraps at chucking-out time from McDonalds!!  Fury deserved to win but showed me nothing to suggest he could make it above the level he's at.

Seriously, the state of heavy-weight boxing - especially British - is as bad as it's ever been. And I was unfortunate enough to be into boxing when the likes of Neville Meade, David Pearce, Hughroy Currie and Horace Notice were champion.

Completely agree. A joke of a fight. I've seen more agressive tickling than Fury's jab. Chisora is a prick though and he was well out of shape. He bowls around near where I live, giving it the biggun. He actually runs a second hand car dealership in Potters Bar  (we are Business rivals, yes... )

Sorry times.
