Emirates Cup Paper Tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Emirates Cup is a great way to showcase new signings...

...Hence why I won't be watching it

judging from the amount of advertising time they are taking up on talkshite trying to flog match tickets i would Hazard a guess that there are still a few left for these "Showcase matches"

£25 to watch 2 games appears quite good but you are only really intersted in the Arsenal game and then with the £4.30 (I think) booking and postage fee its £30 for a friendly to see a meaningless game in a shitty new 125 year celebration kit.

So I am saving my dosh for a real match thanks, even though I have been for the last 3/4 seasons.

So, whats the mood of the gooners then? Any protests or such like planned for this or is it seen as too much of a JCL/ plastics day out to make it worthwhile? And is anything planned for the start of the season?

Protests if we start off badly and don't sign any players by 31st August. I seriously think Wenger will take a smack in the face from a fan if this happens. He'd better not be seen out and about without Security.

Only thing i plan to do is get behind the players 110%, fuck a protest, protest when the season is down the pan for the 7th year in a row, not right at the start of the campaign.
