Im sick of England
Ive just got a right row with a West Ham fan that i work with about last nights performance and how it is Arsenals fault. I wont go into details as you all know the story (no English players blah blah blah bollocks). He even blamed Liam Brady because he isnt English so wont bring in English youth. If i hadnt told him a few home truths about West Ham being one of the first clubs to bring in cheap foreign imports and then told him to f**k off im sure he would have blamed us lot for Hitlers rise in the 30's, Communism and the yorkshire ripper. I cant even turn the radio on without hearing about McClaren all the time.
Bring on the weekend and we can get back to thinking about important things like the premiership again. COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!!
Sorry lads but had to get it off my chest (no Gallaso i havent got tits)

I am surprised you are actually bothered to argue about the "no Englishmen in Arsenal's team" debate. It's really boring and is nonsense; England didn't go through yesterday because they didn't draw, not because Arsenal doesn’t have English players.
If England really needed Arsenal’s help, than they would select Hoyte and Walcott for every squad. Instead of bringing Defoe and Bent on, England should have promoted Walcott and Agbonlahor to the first squad and let them come on as subs because they are playing much more regularly than the Sp*rs’ pair, are younger and faster.
Saying all that, I am pleased that England went out because I support Russia

I agree that Walcott should have been brought into the senior squad - it's easy to say after the event, of course, but I (and others) said on this Forum it would be better to have an in-form and dangerous Walcott (even though he's not ready to be an England regular) than a plain mediocre Darren Bent. Some (and I mean you, IHH!
) disagreed, but I think one of the lessons of last night's performance is that selecting Bent was the wrong decision.
I am a bit worried England's failure will be used by the thick and small-minded to promote foreign player quotas, but I hope people like flash's West Ham friend realise that the deficiencies in English players and coaching are not going to be resolved with quotas.
But I agree with you, flash, thank fuck we'll be getting back to proper football this weekend.

Your statement about supporting Russia is now getting on my nerves. I know that this forum is not about the national teams, but if you say ot one more time I'm gonna lose it. For fuck's sake we know you do, but do you have to rub it in? If I was near you, I would have smashed your bloody ugly Usmanoov like Russian face.khalid_red wrote:

I wouldn't worry about that, EU free trade laws will prevent anything resembling a quota on European players.I am a bit worried England's failure will be used by the thick and small-minded to promote foreign player quotas
I can't understand the worry surrounding this either. England failed to qualify for the 1st time in 14 years - before that we went 10 years without qualifying, before then 6. We failed to qualify throughout the 70s.
Look at some of the sides who haven't qualified in the last few years - Holland in 1982, 1986 and 2002, France in Euro 88, 1990 and 1994, Italy in Euro 92. It wasn't the end of the world for them, I'm sure it wont be for us - the last time we didn't qualify for the Euros in 1984 did we care so much then?
thats out of order zimgooner,, we are all different on here but first and foremost we are gooners,, i dont hav much time for the irish team but if we beat england in a game then i would be on here slaggin the fcuk out of everyoneZimgooner wrote:Your statement about supporting Russia is now getting on my nerves. Its a load of old bollocks anyway. England have always been poor for years, even when we had very few foreign players in our league. It is our way of trying to point the blame at something else rather than admit that our players are not good enough. With a whole host of English players available, we failed to qualify for USA94. I bet money (not a lot mind) that in say 5-10 years time the England side will have several Arsenal players in it. i.e. those that are currently in our Academy.
If the media really want to blame foreign players then they could look no further than Sky TV. It was the money that they pumped in to the game that made clubs richer and therefore allowed teams to attract foreign players in the first instance. Prior to Sky the best foreign players were in Italy and Spain. I am not knocking Sky, arguably we have the best league in the world because of them and to be the best league in the world you need to have the best talent English or otherwise but it is then hypocritical of them to continually do their pieces about the lack of English players at Arsenal, that is like giving us the money but telling us where to spend it.
Anyway, I dont care I am an Eskimo in Alaska and it is too cold here for anyone to come and try and punch me
