Post by stearmaster »

I like the fact no1 wants the job, martin o niel said no, fat sam said no, heard today mark hughes is in the frame but has just signed a few year deal with scumburn, heard the names martin j*l and arsene and scum alex red nose both said no, capello apparently said yes, and cant speak a bloody word of english, also heard steve bruce, and mourinhoe has saids no way jose.

so who is going to take this job, when they got rid of sven they said they wanna english man, they appointed the clown and failed,.

so the question is, who will be the next england manager?????, no1 seems to wanna be laffed at     8) :D

Benitez has refused to rule himself out so that is a positive for FA. The main advantage about him is: he only concentrates on one trophy

I just hope that whoever does come in is strong enough to drop some of the so called A- listers who have under performed on too many occaisions yet continue to get called up.

Must be all those world class players, scare the managers off

Capello is looking for a last paycheck but would probably be a good choice though Fa may be reluctant given the Juventus scandal. Jose wants a job so he might be interested when normally probably wouldn't touch with a barge poll while Benetiz is using it as a way of getting back at his owner. Any manager, even now the English it seems, are not going to want to commit career suicide with the team.

Don't think The FA have got anything to be high and mighty about.

And the England job is surely a no-lose situation.

You either succeed and win something, then are hailed for all time

You semi-suceed by getting to a semi-final and eventually playing good football (Robson) and are hailed for all time, even though the first 5/6 years were terrible.

You do enough by getting to the finals and going out in the quarter-finals - and your employers pay you to not work.

or

You don't qualify for a major championship but everyone blames the players. You keep a silence on that for now, walk away with 2.5 million and in a years time release a book where you blame the FA, the players, the limited time to work with the players, Arsene Wenger, foreigners, the tea lady and more or less everyone you can think - and then go back into Premiership Management when another gormless chairman is looking for a gibberish talking clueless c**t.

So Galasso, you actually are a professional football analyst. Because you just f*cking nailed it right on the head there, mate. Possibly the best description of the England job I've ever read. Quality. 8)

I would do it, I steered Barnet College Old Boys to the Walker Trophy final and last season we only lost 2 games all season and this year one so far. And dont tell me that I wouldnt know how to deal with the stars because I have had Oleg Luzhny and his agent in the side and they gave me no gip whatsoever - I even substituted Oleg once, which was a huge highlight!! I also had a former Albanian international in the side but then again there is only 16 people in Albania I believe. I would repeatedly show my arse at press conferences and drop Defoe, Bent, Robinson, Lampard, Bridge and Cole, in fact Chelski and spuds wouldnt have a player in the side.

My front two would be Dean Windass (is he English) and Theo.

Midfield: Ian Nolan and the three Nolan sisters

Back four: Either Steps (with H sweeping) or Take That (without Robbie).

Keeper: Rick Waller (there aint nothing getting past that youth)

Dont tell me that is not a winning side.

Perhaps but it benefits charity and the game as a whole, it is vital to the lifeblood of the game.

Galasso, interesting. The Fa may not be perfect but it did a lot more of a ban then Italy and Fifa for a missed drug test then others got for being confirmed with drugs. It isn't perfect and has a lot wrong with it but been little proven corruption in the game either

No Lose? Yes, you can be a hero if you get to the semi final but if you don't get the luck to take the hoofers so far, your reputation is tarnished big time. Then there is the press and abuse you receive for failing to do more then get to the last eight.

Think that pay wages for a bit was done because it would have been a lot more expensive if Sven had demanded his contract been paid in full while the Fa might well have thought he would get a job earlier then he did. However Sven, despite a very good club record and a good record for England couldn't get back into the game for awhile.

Nor do I think Maclaren will, he has tarnished his chances with being the shortest time as England manager, has been abused for his failures and while players are getting blamed, it will soon return to him, it will hang over him like it did Taylor.
