Tony Adams for England
and why not? alright no top flight experience, But look at what Jurgen the German did for Germany? Could you see players telling TA6 what to do?
have you seen a player play with as much Passion as Tone did? Imagine him in management! Tony Adams is the ideal man for England

Also Rijkaard and Van Basten became Holland’s managers in 1998 and 2004 respectively when they had no experience at all. But I don’t think it is going to happen, although a management duo of Adams and Shearer would look interesting. FA won’t have enough bravery to try out something new; they’ll probably hire an average English/British boss or Capello who unlike anyone, actually expressed his interest in the job.
Enthusiasm is good but Capello stinks of desparation, he has seen how much Sven & Mclaren have walked away with and is now desparate to get a slice of the big fat cash cow that is the England managers jobkhalid_red wrote:Also Rijkaard and Van Basten became Holland’s managers in 1998 and 2004 respectively when they had no experience at all. This is ridiculous. Sorry, but it really is. Tony Adams has done nothing at all to demonstrate that he'd be the "ideal man" for the England job.
And no, anything he's done as a player does not prove that he'd be "ideal" for an international manager's job.
So to answer your question, "why not?" because he has done nothing to prove that he'd be any good at it and he's done plenty to prove that he'd be no good. If you ask me, that's a pretty conclusive reason as to "why not".
Give me strength

Nice, Wayno, muchos gracias.
Smooth, I assume you had a few to celebrate reaching your 1000th post. Nothing else explains putting TA forward as England coach. Unless you want to see a great on the field hero humiliated when his coaching limitations become obvious. If he proves himself first, maybe one day, and frankly even then, probably not.
For me, any of Klinsmann, Mourinho, Capello and Redknapp would do.
I hear Wenger's going to be advising the FA in the selection process. Always good to get help from the best, and another thing to shove up the arses of those wankers who say Arsenal are no good for England.

look who Tony Adams has worked around in he's Career Graham, Wenger, El Tel and Harry Redknapp the geordies are wanting Shearer with NO coaching experience and even the Bookies are quoting 16/1 on him
Also with regards to my 1000 post, I dont really pay attention to that otherwise I would make a pointless post saying Smooth hits a thousand etc etc blah de blah

Smooth your 'Adams for England Manager' opinion is not shared with the group, please don't pass a law that states that we all have to agree with the 'Piano' botherer being in charge.TheOne2Smooth wrote:look who Tony Adams has worked around in he's Career Graham, Wenger, El Tel and Harry Redknapp the geordies are wanting Shearer with NO coaching experience and even the Bookies are quoting 16/1 on him
