Emile Heskey!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Emile Heskey!

Post by TheOne2Smooth »

My Brother says he was lucky to stay on the pitch! He push Billy Gallas in the face and injured Theo with a reckless challenge

Odd, not one I would call a dirty player but he did get Walcott injured. Be a pity if he was being dirty

It's hardly surprising is it smoothy?

They see the man come away with the ball but don't care how he got it.

COMMENTATORS AND PRESS: IF YOU GO THROUGH THE MAN FIRST AND WIN THE BALL, THAT DOESN'T COUNT AS A CLEAN TACKLE.

That looked a bastard challenge from where I was sitting. Heskey took the man out from behind. Theo couldn't see it coming so he had no chance. Heskey had come on as a sub in the second half and was already on a booking so this ref I had never heard of before decided not to give him a second.

I'll be honest; I think a sending off would have been harsh.

I thought Heskey should have gone. He was already on a yellow for slapping Gallas.
I noticed that Motty commented on Gallas getting involved but not Heskey. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the captain was entitled to speak to the ref without an opposition player (term used very lightly) slapping them.

I thought we battled hard today against a side that came for nothing more than a point.

I AGREE WITH TONY SAUNDERS. IT WAS A CLUMSY CHALLENGE BUT I DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS ANY MALICE IN IT, AND WAS NOTHING LIKE AS BAD AS MARCUS BENT'S ON DENILSON.

I think the reason he pushed Gallas might have been that William called for a sending off...

Everyone jumped on the "Gallas pushed Heskey" bandwagon..I mean he is English. When in reality its Gallas' right to speak to the ref in such incidents and Heskey actually went out of him way to push Gallas first.
Same old story.
