Eto'o

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So if the owner of Anzhi walked away, I take it Eto'o could sue the club for unpaid wages and basically put them out of business?

Yes, a perfect example of all that is wrong with modern day football. :(

I don't actually blame Eto'o though. If someone wanted to pay me that amount, I'd be there like a shot. I wouldn't care where it was.

Nothing like waking up after 8 hours sleep & thinking "yeah, just earned me 17k"

I guess it'll make all the monkey chants & bananas thrown his way a bit more bearable...

Still remember the greedy *word censored* causing a massive drama when he got racially abused in Spain. He's gone to Russia knowing full well that he'll get it both barrels out there. Hope he enjoys the monkey noises and bananas stuffed at him.

im surprised anyone thinks football is about anything else other than money.

He has won everything already, but got a niggling feeling he's going to EARN that money   and won't last for a year.

Also the footballers can't leave in the town because of safety reasons, they have to fly in EVERY game

It must be said it's a great opportunity for him to take some significant wages and make a major difference in his native Cameroon and other parts of the African continent. I really hope he redistributes some of this megawealth, especially when he's surely seen poverty first hand.
