Players you secretly admire,

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Players you secretly admire,

Post by Non flying Dutchman »

Not sure if this has been done before, but as most people are in a good mood for the first time in months, it might be fun

Come on spill the beans, who do secretly admire (gooners or otherwise)

Gooners.

Kos, good on the ball, not a bad header, good distibution, better than cahill, jags, dann etc :)
Flappy, not as good as chesney, but a good back up, hopefully over comedy moments

Others
Rooney, total Chav pillock off the pitch, committed full blooded player on it.
John Terry, see above rooney comment.

Is this a piss take? Kos better than Cahill and Jagielka? Fabianski a good back up? :coffeespit:

Sorry mate, you lost all credibility with that first post. Kos isn't a patch on those guys, he may be one day but he's a long way off yet

The point is to confess who you think is good, and stuff anyone else

be a brave little soldier, and try it

It does you good to get this stuff off your chest, (trust me I feel better that my love for flappy is in the open :barscarf: )

My favourite (non-Arsenal) players since the Premier League began are Schmichael (spelt wrong I know!) and Giggs....... I used to like Rooney, in his Everton days. But don't think he is as good now as he was then!

I also hate Scott Parker when he plays against us, but can't help thinking that he could have been a bit of a hero in our shirt!

For Arsenal.....Willie Young, Stewart Robson, Thierry Henry and George Armstrong.

Rosicky. Shouldn't be mentioned alongside Diaby & Denilson.

Nadir Belhadj, although he was rubbish in the WC.

Gay

Looking back though, I always respected Parlour for making the most of what he had as footballer. I definitely like him more than Messi AND Ronaldo

Not a player but Arsene Wenger. It's amazing what he has achieved with the squad he's had...

:D
