As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think the last few days has seen more nonsense quoted as fact than the whole of the rest of the year...
I'm sure there is some little kid somewhere sitting in his room making up stories and texting them to the likes of sky sports and goal.com and then having a right f*cking giggle watching them being reported...
Honestly someone tweets something or something is written on some crappy site and then people start quoting it as fact, even though they have read another half a dozen sources that contradict each others facts and figures on the same thing...Which makes it painfully obvious these sources of info just make shit up...
Unless you here this kind of stuff directly from either club or Arteta himself just assume it's utter nonsense like 99.9% of the other stories written...
My impression has always been that Everton have been focusing on keeping thei best players rather than investing in new ones. So it wouldn't surprise me if he was on that much at Everton actually.
Very surprised Arsenal have signed a 29 year old and on a four year contract. Also usually they just announce a 'long term' contract.
If he had say two years left on a 70k deal at Everton it would make sense for him to sign a four year deal at £55k a week. Saying that these figures are plucked out of thin air as nobody has a way of knowing who earns what.
We could have him earlier, Winegar should left Fabregas leave earlier and grab Arteta, i beleive he will be the best signing we did since years to include Per also, im very delighted with this two signings, but more the fact of changing the years policy.
