Come back Gary Lewin

Come back Gary Lewin

Post by fridge »

Since Gary left our medical team have been nothing short of disgraceful. Heard rumours in the summer that a few players had issues with how the clubs treat injuries and now with \jack being mishandled I can believe it!!

Another thing I see Barcelona are taking the piss again saying Cesc should have been 60m not 30m..........just shows how badly our club is being run.

Cannot agree more.

First TV was only out for a week but ended up missing most of the season now JW was out with 'heavy bruising' for 2 weeks AFTER the scan came back clear and will end up missing 3 months worth of footy. Either JW is a wimp and can't handle a bruise or our medical team can't diagnose shit!

I think our whole medical team needs shaking up and people's head need to roll.

I know I am ridiculed for my "insider knowledge" but when Vermaelen was first injured I heard that the length of injury was soley down to mis-diagnosis as he was told to train on a ruptured achilles! Jack's injury sounds similar.

Totally agree with Fridge. See my comment under the Wilshere thread.

The medical team are totally incompetent.

We won't see Jack for months.

But of course we,ve got adequate non injury prone replacements.

Yhey use specialists for this kind of thing so blaming Colin Lewin is just daft!

Well why aren't they using the same specialist who were around when gary was in charge!!!

We have bad injuries before the season even starts.

Something is clearly wrong.

Have we inherited Spurs medical staff from about 5 years ago? They were always injured.

I'm sorry but when you are as tight as the Arsenal Board are with cash then we have to ensure that what we,ve got stay fit or recover quickly.

In keeping with everything else at the club they've probably just gone for cheaper less skilled replacements followed by burial of heads in the sand to pretend everything is fine.

Can I be the first to remind everyone that we had fuckin stacks of injuries when Gary Lewin was the physio too.

He appears to have taken on the myth of being some mythical faith healer since he left, but was anything but.

Yes, our injury record was also shite with Gary Lewin overseeing it, this whole area needs overhauling and the training, warming up/warming down regimes should be looked at, at the same time. Also the ridiculous initial assessments that get made public, it's a total embarrassment and isn't the first time it's happened... Roshity, RVP, TV and now Jack.. (have I missed anyone out) :?

its not that we need gary lewin back, its just we need to change what we have.

Yes the physios are included in this. Surely the staff set out the regime and the treatment methods.

Also, if players go into the 'red', whats the plan, keep playing them, we know we cant use the squad because the squad are kids!
